On the hunt...
From sunny warm so cal to snowy mountain passes we’ve made it back to Seattle! First we made a stop in Brookings, OR to see grandma & grandpa…we enjoyed a quick dinner the night we arrived and then a nice breakfast at the Whaleshead the next morning before we headed out. Grandma & grandpa are doing great…when the weather is good they play golf often and grandma is still...

O'side Cali
Well, the end is certainly near…we forgot to take pictures of almost everything we ate but we did have TONS of fun! We got to town around 1pm and had lunch at a micro brewery/pizza place, Pizza Port…a cool place in downtown Carlsbad filled with hanging surf boards and other beachy paraphernalia. Then headed to O’side just five minutes away up the coast, drove by the Oceanside...

Because of the epic amount of miles we’ve conquered over the last two days we haven’t had a chance to do much of anything other than DRIVE, eat, sleep and...

ATL
We arrived in Atlanta right around lunch time and drove straight to The Varsity…the world’s largest drive-in restaurant serving since 1928. It can accommodate 600 cars and 800 people inside. They serve two miles of hot dogs, a ton of onions, 2500 pounds of potatoes, 5000 fried pies and 300 gallons of chili daily and it’s all made from scratch. We had slaw dogs, a chili burger, a...

BBQ
On our way out of Woolwine we drove on the beautiful Blue Ridge Highway. Amazing fall colors everywhere, incredible views that seemed to be never ending and nobody was out on the road! We were heading south through the Carolinas so, of course, we HAD to stop and eat some BBQ along the way. We called our friend Grey who’s from North Carolina and asked for some help in the matter. It turned...
